Iiiinnn this article I show you how to create a super-fast affiliate marketing website with WordPress using our brand new theme Popcorn.
With Popcorn theme we wanted to offer a theme that is:
- Super fast – scores well into the 90s on Google Pagespeed Score
- Content focussed – content is king!
- Super quick to setup
The site: https://bestcornpopper.com
Hosting & Domain Name

Firstly we need hosting. My favourite host at the moment is Host Armada (affiliate link). They offer great value for money packages and their support is on point.
- Hostarmada: https://wpeagle.com/hostarmada – USE CODE WPEAGLE75 for discount (affiliate link)
If you fancy something a bit more high end, my good friend Phil's hosting company SpidrWeb is superb.
- WP Eagle hosting: https://www.wpeagle.com/hosting-servi…
Installing Popcorn Theme
Get Popcorn Theme here: https://popcorntheme.com/

Our theme is a one-time license fee of $99 that can be used on unlimited sites. Once downloaded, install Popcorn on your WordPress site. Appearance>themes>add new>upload theme>select popcorn download>activate.
Customising Popcorn Theme
Customize theme by clicking on, you guessed it ‘Customize'. Choose colours according to your logo. Select font size, typography etc.

Creating a Logo with Canva
By far my favourite way to create graphics and logos is to use Canva (affiliate link). When I'm creating a website, I love to get the logo up which helps get all your colour schemes etc decided.
The Pro version comes with lots of stock photography and lots of other impressive tools and it's currently the only software I use for my images.

Now back to your website Customize>select logo>select files>choose your logo file>select.
Adding Content
If you've watched any of my other videos, you'll know how much I love Jarvis (affiliate link). It's an AI writing tool and I made several articles for this site using Jarvis. Posts>Add new
I use Canva for the featured posts for articles.

Adding an Affiliate Disclaimer to Posts
Next, we need to add our affiliate disclaimer. Basically, it tells the visitor that the links shown are affiliate links. In popcorn theme we have a built-in feature, allowing you to easily set your affiliate disclaimer.
Customize>Options>Popcorn Custom Text. Adjust the text and click publish.

On your post editing page, you'll see a section in the post settings called ‘Post attribution'. Select ‘Post with Disclaimer. Don't forget to customise your post excerpt.
Content Ideas and Hiring Writers
My good friend Carl Broadbent runs a fantastic keyword service over at Keywordcare.com. If you struggle to know what to write your articles about, check him out!

For writing services I used Textun. I commissioned them to write a batch of 10 articles and they returned them in a week or so and I was pleased with the results.
Then I reviewed the homepage and cleaned it up by writing a welcome message, creating a welcome image in Canva (affiliate link) and changing the number of featured posts shown. Also, revised the navigation menus and created some categories. I then altered the footer menu details Customize>Popcorn Footer Menu.
Featured Post Link Towards Footer
Customize>Pocorn Theme Options>Popcorn Post Settings>Post Navigation Link URL
Here you can adjust the suggested posts that appear at the bottom of the page. You can choose the headline and then post the URL of the article or page you want to feature here.

Adjusting your Permalinks
Don't forget to check your permalink structure – this just means how your site will generate the URLs for your pages and articles etc.
Dashboard>Settings>Permalinks>Post Name

Site Speed
Last but not least, let's have a quick check on our Google Page Speed now that everything is installed – as you can see Popcorn Theme is pretty quick!

Final Words
Hopefully, this tutorial will help you set up your new niche site with Popcorn theme particularly if you are new to WordPress.
Although this started as a simple demo site for our new theme, I'm really loving the Popcorn niche and can't wait to see how the site progresses. Get in touch with the team if you have any questions. We have a group on Facebook that you can find here where you can find all the support you need for Popcorn theme.
Thanks for reading, let us know how you get on with Popcorn.
Comments
Alex,
I’ve been looking around trying to find the post where you had three different companies generate content for you. Do you remember where that is?
Also, what do you recommend on the length of an article?
Thanks,
Jeff
