How to Install Google Analytics on WordPress
- Follow these steps and you'll be tracking vistors with Google Analytics in no time.
- Create a Google Analytics Account
- Login to your WordPress dashboard on your site
- Look down the left hand side and select Plugins->Add New
- In the Search box type Google Analytics
- Look for a plugin called Google Analyticator
- Click “Install”
- Wait
- Click “Activate”
- Look down the left hand side and select Settings->Google Analytics
- Click on “Click Here” at the top of the page
- A pop up opens
- Click “Allow Access” (make sure you're logged into Google)
- Highlight the code in the box and copy it to your clipboard (Control-C or CMD-C if you have a Mac)
- Go back to the plugin screen on your site
- Paste the code into the box
- Click “Save & Continue”
- Click Enabled
- Make sure the correct Google Analytics profile is selected
- Change an other settings you want
- Scroll down to the bottom
- Click Save
- You're Done
